The FM tuner section is crap, the S/N ratio is crap, but it was a pretty inexpensive piece to start with. I have been using 4 Gb drives throughout, so no problem there. I encode everything at 320k MP3 and they all play fine. I always use an artist/album foldering arrangement so moving through material is relatively painless. Just got a 16Gb drive and no surprise, it doesn't recognize. I'll try reformatting but I suspect the firmware will not have a clue what to do with it and since it's now an obsolete product I don't anticipate that changing. When I purchased I tried pretty much all the models that offered front USB connect and tis was the only one that would handle multiple brands of flash drives and multiple formats.
