Bowling for example. Everything you did amazed Paul. With his father dying when he was only 10 or 11, too, it was really important to him to be a good Dad and share the life he never got to have with his Dad. I imagine that is similar to what you feel. He always put his thumbs in his suspenders and pulled them out and said "that's my boy." Whether you were playing basketball, baseball, bowling, playing arcades, riding the motorcycle or learning to shot your BB gun, he was right there by your side enjoying being your Dad. Jake can fix your server, but he is a condescending asshole. IF that isn't enough just look at the turn over in support techs, even if you find a tech you like, they won't last long... probably a sucky place to work in addition to poor web hosting support.
