Listal is a great site that helps you keep track of your DVD movies, CDs, games, and books. It even interfaces with Amazon to get its info. I’ve been wanting something like this for a while. The site looks and performs great. Uses a bit of AJAX too. Sweet. I just put my list of books I want to read online and started on my Xbox game collection.

Since I have been using a plugin to Miranda to check my POP3 account, during the time period where I couldn’t use Miranda I had to look for a small footprint POP3 checker. My requirements were:

So, I ended up using PopPeeper. It met all my needs and only used ~1.7MB of memory when running. Of course, now that Miranda works again, I don’t need it any more. Oh well. Maybe this info will help someone else in the future.

I’m an arcade geek, no doubt about it.
After a few days of downtime, Miranda finally works again. Miranda is a multi-protocol IM client and it seems AOL cut off its access. They released a patch that fixes the AIM support. WooHoo! I was using Gaim in the interim and it was painful. Miranda really is a much better client than Gaim, IMHO. It has a very low memory footprint, is totally customizable via plugins, is freeware/open source, does all the major IM protocols, runs from a flash drive, and just works and acts like I want it to. Check it out if you haven’t already.
