On Sunday, I shaved my head….bald. I have wanted to do it for a long time (for some unknown reason) and I finally did it. I telecommute so nobody sees me anyway. :) I found some tips on http://headshaver.org and followed those. We used dog clippers to first remove most of the hair, then a razor (Mach III) and shaving gel to remove the rest.
Here are some before, during, and after pics.
It feels weird and cool at the same time. Too bad it’s not so WHITE. I think it might look ok with a tan up there. I actually liked the buzzcut look. This is a one-time thing though – I will now let it grow back (that was the agreement I had to make with my wife). My daughter doesn’t like it.
I think all men want to shave their head at some point but few actually do it. Leave it bald, it is the greatest. If you do leave the shine try the Headblade it works with no risk of nicking your melon.
RESPONSE: I like the look and the feel but the wife says no. Yeah – I knew about Headblade – they mentioned it at HeadShaver.org and I had heard of it before. I would try it if I were going to keep the baldness.

I have been shaving my head now for nearly a year, its the best thing that I have done. I used to have irritation always itchy and scaby.
Since shaving it all off the problems have gone away. I generally keep the stumble down with my electric razor and every so often used a safety razor especially if I’m going out somewhere special.
I think you looked best with the stubble.
im 18 n i been shavin my head since i was 16 i love it many benefits
been bald about a week. dig the look ,wife thinks shel get use to it.i,m using a razor (headblade) right now but was thinkin about nair. keeping stubble down is getting to be a chore
Been shaving for about a year. Do it every day. Tried a headblade, but damn near killed myself! Use Gillette Sensor. I LOVE the look and feel. Wife isn’t too keen on it…but, hides the grey! Won’t go back to the hair look!
