I found an even better online button maker:
Brilliant Button Maker. For simple ones, I still think Kalsey Buttonmaker is easier though.

Don’t steal my bandwidth!
I was combing through my server logs and noticed a bunch of referrers from a couple places so I investigated and found out that there is a podcaster (who shall remain nameless) that is using one of my generic podcast images (that I got from somewhere else) on his sites and he is using them DIRECTLY from my site! i.e. – everytime a person views his sites, those images are pulled from MY server!
I just sent him a nice email explaining the situation to him and asked him nicely to correct this situation. I almost hope he replies rudely cause I can really mess with him. I looked at his HTML and he doesn’t have a size on the image tag so I could replace that image on my server with ANY image I want and it will show up all over his sites. Oh, the possibilities! Mwahahaha! Hopefully this podcaster will change his links and that will be the end of it.
This happened before with a Spanish store online. I found it by looking at my logs. They linked directly to one of my images on my site so I replaced the image with this one:

The image showed up right in the middle of his page where he was selling an item and the image was at full size (640×480). It was pretty funny. They didn’t catch it for a few months. The store does that on a BUNCH of their pages. Punks!
Who is Michael A. Beavers?
So I’m browsing Flickr tonight and I see this text ad on one of the pages:
Just who is this Michael A. Beavers guy? Are so many people looking for him that it is worthwhile for a company to pay for an ad to help you find him? Have they found him and they just aren’t telling anyone? Was he missing? I have never known a Michael Beavers (or anyone with the last name Beavers for that matter). Now I’m wondering if I missed out on something by not ever meeting him. What makes him so special so many people want to get in touch with him again? Now I feel like I should find him. Damn you Michael Beavers!
Google Adsense thinks this blog is about p03try
I think it’s funny that when Google Adsense doesn’t know what ads to put on this site it defaults to putting ads about p03try. I guess it makes sense given the name of this blog, but it sure would be nice to be able to tell Google AdSense what category of ads to use if it’s not sure. Some good geek/tech/scifi ads would be nice. Hopefully nobody is actually coming here to find p03try.
The library – your ticket to the world
I realized today that I haven’t posted any real DadStuff posts yet. So here we go…..my 4-year-old daughter was talking to me about going to the library and she said “it’s your ticket to the world” so matter-of-factly that it cracked me up. She said she heard someone say it on RugRats. I am so proud of her that she loves the library like she does though – despite the cartoon quotes.
