Similar to CalendarHub, Planzo is an online Calendar that is really slick and full of AJAX. Pretty cool stuff. I’m not sure which I like better right now – CalendarHub or Planzo. We’ll see how they progress and which one wins me over.

Talk like a pirate day + a pirate joke
It’s Talk Like a Pirate Day today, so, arrggghhh, shiver me timbers, walk the plank, and all that other pirate talk. In honor of the holiday, here is the only pirate joke I can think of…..
Why was the little boy denied entrance to the pirate movie?
Highlight this to see the answer:
It was rated “Arrrrrrrrr”! |
Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all week.

Anyone else see Surface tonight?
Man, there are some good shows on TV this season. Battlestar, Lost Galactica, Prison Break, and now Surface (and some more good potentials with Threshold and Invasion). I wans’t sure if any other shows could pull off what Lost had done, but it looks like there are some contenders. Surface had me intrigued and kept me watching – I’ll definitely be tuning in to see what happens. Anyone else love/hate it? I’m definitely into the serialized action/drama genre, can you tell?. And thanks to bittorrent, if I miss any episodes, I can still watch them in order.

Aliens and the third kind
Here’s something weird that popped into my mind today….
There was a movie called Close Encounters of the Third Kind. What exactly does the “first kind”, the “second kind”, and the “third kind” mean? I did some googling and I think I found the answer (according to this site):
“First kind is a flying saucer was seen. Second kind is evidence of an extraterrestrial’s visit was left behind. The third kind is when the extraterrestrial was actually seen.”
Funny, it never occurred to me til today to question what these “kinds” were. Am I the only one that didn’t know this?
CalendarHub beta
I’ve been playing with the beta of CalendarHub tonight. It’s a pretty cool online calendar using lots of AJAX goodness. It’s still in beta (signup at the website) and has a few bugs/omissions, but it looks like it has lots of potential. Give it a look.
